Diane Smith-Gander

 

Diane Smith-Gander has had a varied forty year business career in banking and consulting and now as a non-executive director.

Diane grew up in Perth, Western Australia making her way to retail banking in Australia via consulting in Hong Kong, then running branch networks in Queensland where she first encountered the varied issues of managing lots of people in a distributed workforce in an unloved industry. She spent a lot of time consulting in post merger management – another stress heavy activity forimpacted staff.

Diane’s current leadership roles are diverse. She chairs ZipCo a fintech disrupter, DDH1 a minerals driller and is chair elect of HBF Health a private health insurer. She’s also part of the energy transition as a non-executive director at AGL Energy.

A keen advocate for gender equity Diane is a past President of Chief Executive Women, Australia’s pre-eminent women’s advocacy group.
